2013 Reunion Events

Thursday, September 5th 0800-1500 (8:00 am-3:00 pm) $49.00

Today begins with a private tour of the Boeing P-8 facility in Renton, Washington where several hundred Boeing workers, from engineers to machinist are working on the production of the anti-submarine P-8A. The US Navy has ordered 117 planes to begin going into service in 2013. Boeing plans to produce as many as 24 P-8s annually from this facility. The planes are rolled out of the 737 factory and flown to Boeing Field, rolled into the P-8 hanger and high-tech surveillance systems are installed. This is where a version of its best-selling 737 aircraft will be transformed into one of the US Navy’s most advanced surveillance and reconnaissance planes.

Museum of Flight tour will begin with lunch in Wings Café on your own (not included in the price of the tour) where you can relax and enjoy an up-close view of Boeing Field and the daily “air show” that is Boeing Field. From there you will enjoy a tour of the Museum of Flight, one of the largest air and space museums in the world. The Museum’s collection includes more than 150 historically significant air and spacecraft, as well as the Red Barn, the original manufacturing facility of The Boeing Co. The Museum’s aviation and space library and archives are the largest on the West Coast. Make sure to visit the Museum’s gift shop.
