Over its career, the Orion has gained the capability to launch or release increasingly sophisticated weapons. The P-3 Alpha crews, for example, could only launch unguided rockets like these coming off the wings of a US Navy aircraft belonging to VP-47. This aircraft was later flown by Chile.
