1. Nashville City Tour with Lunch at Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen
(Tuesday, September 15 — Board bus 9:00 AM, return 2:00 PM)
Begin a tour of Nashville with trained professional guides who will entertain your group with interesting facts, colorful legends, and amusing anecdotes about Nashville and its people. We’ll drive through Centennial Park and view the Parthenon — a full-scale replica of the original in Greece — and drive by the Historic Ryman, considered the “Mother Church of Country Music.” Drive down Broadway and see the Honky Tonks and Music Row, with a stop at Bicentennial Park to view the war memorials and, time permitting, a stop at Marathon Village. In true Southern fashion, enjoy a family-style lunch at Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen.
Cost: $81/person (includes bus, guide, and admission; lunch included)
2. The Grand Ole Opry
(Tuesday, September 15 — Board bus 5:45 PM, return 10:00 PM)
During any given Opry show, audiences can expect the best in country, bluegrass, comedy, gospel, and more — from Country Music Hall of Famers and revered superstars to young artists just starting to make names for themselves. It is the world’s longest-running live radio show. Sit back and enjoy an American institution at its entertaining best.
Please make sure to have dinner prior to departure.
Note: Metal detectors are in use — weapons, including pocketknives, are not permitted.
Cost: $117/person (includes bus, escort, and show)
3. General Jackson Showboat Lunch Cruise
(Wednesday, September 16 — Board bus 10:15 AM, return 3:15 PM)
The world’s grandest showboat cruises the majestic Cumberland River to downtown Nashville — fourteen miles round-trip. Enjoy a brand-new show featuring extreme humor, amazing music, and outstanding Southern food. The world-class cast includes two rising country artists, a country comedian, and featured fiddle and guitar soloists, all supported by a live country band, with a repertoire spanning classic hits by Patsy Cline, George Jones, and Tammy Wynette, as well as today’s chart-toppers by Jason Aldean, Taylor Swift, and Rascal Flatts.
Note: Depending on seat selection, price may vary.
Cost: $121/person (includes bus, escort, and lunch cruise)
4. RCA Studio B & Country Music Hall of Fame
(Thursday, September 17 — Board bus 8:00 AM, return 1:30 PM)
RCA’s Studio B is one of the world’s most important and successful recording studios — more than 35,000 songs were recorded here, including over 1,000 American hits and more than 200 Elvis Presley recordings. Following the tour, your group will assemble in chorus to record your military branch song in the very room where Elvis recorded “Are You Lonesome Tonight?”, Dolly Parton recorded “Coat of Many Colors,” and Roy Orbison sang “Only the Lonely.” Each member will step up to the microphone to state their name and rank, including at the end of the recording. A downloadable link of the recording will be provided for you to keep forever!
Next, on to the Country Music Hall of Fame — home of America’s music since 1967. Explore historic country video clips, recorded music, and dynamic exhibits spanning two centuries of country music history. Allow time to shop in the Museum Store!
Note: RCA Studio B has a maximum capacity of 55 persons per tour. If the group exceeds 55, it will be split into two groups.
Lunch on your own at the Museum restaurant, snack bar, or nearby local restaurants. No re-entry if you leave the Museum.
Cost: $110/person (includes bus, escort, and admissions; lunch on your own)
